Backstory: Aethulian grew up as a hunter in the forests near Neverwinter. A solitary man, he was content with his plain home and simple life, hunting for game in the woods and tending a small garden. However, a lifetime of peace and tranquility was interrupted when loggers came for the ancient woods he called home. Unused to conflict, or any contact with outsiders, Aethulian did what he could to convince them not to destroy his forest. When words and rhetoric failed he turned to more sinister methods, tracking them through the woods and ambushing them whenever they were alone. He found some initial success, however, after a few loggers turned up dead, the rest began travelling in groups and sleeping only behind locked doors. The logging continued. Growing desperate, Aethulian taught himself how to pick locks, hoping that stealing away their gold or belongings would convince the loggers to leave. Unfortunately, although his experience at crafting and setting traps made him a surprisingly good lockpick, he was unable to cause enough damage to hinder the loggers work. Eventually, he was forced to admit defeat. As he left his home and migrated deeper into the forest he realized that this terrible situation had provided him with one thing his life was missing: excitement. Even after setting up a new home, far away from any population, he found himself unable to settle. Tracking a deer paled in comparison to hunting a man, and the average man has far nicer belongings than the average deer. Using his talents to travel unseen and unheard, taking from his victim their belongings or their life, outwitting intelligent quarry. These things gave Aethulian a thrill that he didn't know he had begun to crave until he missed it. Sitting in his new hut he pondered the excitement he once felt, considered how lavish even the simple loggers lifestyle was compared to his, and decided he would forge a new path. No longer would he isolate himself in the woods, he would seek out and obtain the life he now desired, by any means necessary.

Thus motivated, and armed with some basic supplies, Aethulian traveled to Neverwinter, in search of whatever work he might find.......
